Financial Assistance & Resource Information

 Dog and cat together

We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, CareCredit, Cash, and personal checks. However, we understand that life happens and unexpected or costly veterinary services can be stressful and challenging. Estimates are provided to you upon request as a courtesy. Please disclose any financial constraints to us prior to any services being rendered. Unsatisfactory financial history with us, such as failure to pay for services rendered or failure to disclose cost limitations prior to receiving services, may require payment up front or an appointment booking deposit for all future services.

Pet Insurance

Unexpected illness or injuries to your pet can cost thousands of dollars. That’s why you should consider pet health insurance. It reimburses you for unexpected veterinary expenses, so you’re financially prepared to protect your pet—and your wallet. With pet insurance, you elect and enroll your pets into a plan. You must pay for your veterinary services up front in full, then contact your pet insurance company for reimbursement. Here are our favorite pet insurance providers:

Trupanion: Trupanion goes beyond traditional pet insurance for cats and dogs. With clear coverage and unlimited payouts for care, you don’t have to worry about your best friend’s unexpected veterinary costs.

Pet's Best: Since Pet's Best founding, they've paid out over $500 million in claims and can deposit payments directly to your bank account. Their wide range of plans and coverage options make it easy to find the right coverage at the right price. They were founded by a vet and know what it means to serve the needs of all pet parents.

Pumpkin: Help protect your pet and say yes to the best care. Every Pumpkin plan offers simple, extensive coverage and 90% cash back on eligible vet bills. We believe pet parents should say yes to the best vet care.

Embrace: Pet insurance with 24/7 pet health support. Experience unlimited reimbursement and claims made easy. Use at any vet. Every 6 seconds, a pet parent is handed an emergency vet bill of $1,000 or more. With Embrace cat insurance and dog insurance, you don’t have to choose between your pet and your savings.

CareCredit

Pay off your vet bill each month with little-to-no interest with CareCredit. The CareCredit credit card can be used for routine veterinary appointments, grooming services, emergency pet care, or a variety of surgeries and treatments your pet may need. It gives pet owners the peace of mind needed to care for pets big and small. Unlike traditional pet financing or veterinary payment plans, the CareCredit credit card gives you the flexibility to use your card again and again for your pet's procedures. CareCredit coverage is available for dogs, cats, birds, horses, lizards, rabbits, guinea pigs, and so much more. Click here to apply for CareCredit today!

Personal Fundraising & Crowdfunding

GoFundMe is an American for-profit crowdfunding platform that allows people to raise money for events ranging from life events such as celebrations and graduations to challenging circumstances like accidents and illnesses. You can also post your GoFundMe link on any website to gather more visitors to your fundraiser.

Create a Facebook fundraiser to raise money for a friend, nonprofit organization, or yourself. Share your fundraiser with friends, get donations, and reach your goal. You can share the link to your fundraiser on local groups and public pages to share the word and collect more donations. Facebook fundraising has fewer fees than GoFundMe and has the potential to reach more viewers.

We recommend reaching out to friends and family for support. If you borrow privately, you won't have to worry about compounding interest, payment fees, loan deposits, or the potential to be sent to collections.

You are allowed to have monetary credits saved to your account. You may make payments or a deposit to your account at any time to save up for a service. Additionally, people can make payments or donations to your account. They will need your first and last name and your pets name so that we can verify the payment is going to the correct account.

Peninsula Spay & Neuter Fund

The Peninsula Spay & Neuter Fund (PSNF) is a local non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to ending the needless euthanasia of homeless dogs and cats through education and encouraging owners to spay or neuter their pets by providing coupons that can be used at any time with all four local vets on the Kenai Peninsula. Click here to apply for a coupon today. If you are not able to apply online, you can pick up a paper application from our clinic but you must mail it to: Peninsula Spay/Neuter Fund, P.O. Box 750, Kenai, AK 99611.

* Please note that the physical coupon must be presented at the time of check-in for the procedure. Coupons expire within 30 days of issuance. It is your responsibility to ensure that the surgery date falls within the expiration timeline. You may contact PSNF if you need an extension of the expiration date on your coupon.
